As a web-based platform, qlub offers a seamless and contactless payment experience for restaurants, pubs, and cafes. By simply scanning a QR code or NFC device, guests can access their bill, split payments, and leave tips if desired. With qlub, customers can pay within 10 seconds, enhancing their dining experience while helping venues turn tables faster. Not only does qlub save time, but it also increases tips by up to 300%. Operating in multiple countries with over 500 partnered restaurants, qlub is revolutionizing the payment function of the future by combining QR technology and cashless transactions.

My story with qlub

Once upon a time, I embarked on an incredible journey with qlub, a thriving startup based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. From the inception of qlub, I have been part of this dynamic team, serving as a Senior Director of Product. In this role, I am entrusted with overseeing and enhancing critical aspects of our platform, with a specific focus on the payment experience, vendor panel, and admin panel.

Our primary objective is to ensure a seamless and secure payment process for our users, while also driving the company's profitability by preventing fraud and disputes. To achieve this, we successfully integrated eight payment gateways across nine countries, optimizing the overall payment experience. This integration not only provides diverse options to our customers but also incorporates robust security measures to minimize fraudulent activities and disputes. By prioritizing user satisfaction and financial health, we create a win-win scenario for both our users and the company.

The vendor panel, thoughtfully designed with restaurant owners and staff in mind, empowers them to efficiently manage payments made by diners using qlub. This user-friendly solution simplifies payment operations, creating a positive experience for all parties involved. Our aim is to enable restaurant teams to handle qlub payment operations effectively, enhancing efficiency and overall customer satisfaction.

Additionally, the admin panel plays a vital role in streamlining the onboarding process for new restaurants. By simplifying the creation of QR codes and managing various features within the qlub customer app, we ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for our valued partners and customers. Our operations team benefits greatly from this powerful tool, enhancing their ability to provide excellent support and service.

As a director on this exciting startup journey, I have embraced a hands-on approach to product management. This includes conducting in-depth discovery work, which often involves delving into technical aspects of the product. I explore partnerships with payment gateway providers, and work with API calls to provide developers with the necessary information. By actively engaging in these technical explorations, I ensure that our team has the tools and knowledge they need to develop the smooth integration.

Since qlub's inception, we have continuously evolved, and we are proud to be on version 3 of our product. It has been an exhilarating experience, shaping the direction of the company and contributing to its growth and success. With a passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering exceptional payment solutions, qlub continues to redefine the landscape of the hospitality and payment industry.
